Using Green Screens
Carrying on our series of practical film making evenings presented by Geoff Partridge and Ken Pratt this time we had an in depth presentation on using green screens.
Geoff spoke about the importance of correctly lighting the screen and the object. We also heard about techniques to measure luminosity to get the correct exposure of the object.
Ken then showed how to use editing software to key out the green background so that the object can be superimposed on to a different background.
Geoff then demonstrated how his green jumper could be chroma keyed to make his chest transparent against a background of a bird feeder, see below.
